摘要
Ecological environment protection requires the participation of governments and enterprises, as well as the public. This paper empirically examines the impact of trade openness on public environmental preferences (PEP). The results show that trade openness significantly inhibits PEP. Trade openness has a significant inhibitory effect on the female public and the public in the central and western region. Trade openness significantly reduces public revenues, increases public working hours, and curbs PEP. Trade openness also inhibits the actual behavior of PEP, not only inhibits the public's environmental petitioning behavior, but also reduces the frequency of public Internet search for environmental protection related words. This paper provides important empirical evidence for improving public environmental preference.
