摘要
This article aims to study some issues regarding the judicial review of regulatory legal acts during the Soviet period as the most efficient way to prevent possible abuses by the executive branch. In the course of the study, both general (historical method, analysis, synthesis) and special (formal-logical, comparative-legal) methods were used. As a result, the authors have drawn the following conclusions: during certain periods of the Soviet Union, there was both direct and indirect judicial control over the lawfulness of regulatory acts but no special and comprehensive legal regulation in this area. The lack of special and comprehensive legal regulation was mainly conditioned by political reasons and no separation of powers.
