Exploring the Combination of Artificial Intelligence and Traditional Color Design: A Comparative Analysis and Outlook of Aesthetics, Theme Conformity, and Traditional Color Embodiment

摘要
Chinese traditional color plays an important role in passing down culture and sending imagery. In recent years, the research of traditional Chinese culture has set off a new wave, and the combination of pattern, shape, color, and design in traditional art has become an important trend nowadays. At the same time, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been widely used in the field of design with the development in recent years, which makes the design method more diversified and promotes the design concept to make breakthroughs under the influence of new technology. So when traditional Chinese colors collide with AI technology, what will be the result? This study addresses this issue by examining the characteristics of traditional Chinese colors and AI technology in design applications, using practice to compare the differences between artificial and AI in terms of aesthetics and emotionality, verifying the feasibility and effectiveness of combining AI and design applied to traditional Chinese color design, and providing certain theoretical references for the reapplication of traditional colors. The results show that AI color filling is better than manual in reflecting traditional colors, but weaker in thematicity and aesthetics. This study confirms the necessity of human-AI collaboration and the effectiveness of combining AI and design in traditional color design, which is of great revelation significance and provides ideas for future research and practice.
