Wenngleich das Thema Mental Health (MH) in der Schifffahrt in den letzten Jahren zunehmend an Aufmerksamkeit gewonnen hat, haben Symptome, die auf Depressionen, Angststorungen oder andere psychische Storungen hinweisen, unter Seeleuten zugenommen 1 . Zuruckzufuhren ist diese Entwicklung u. a. auf die COVID-19-Pandemie sowie auf wirtschaftliche und politische Krisen. Trotzdem sind MH-Probleme oftmals ein Tabuthema unter Seeleuten. Grund hierfur sind Sorgen, ihre Seetauglichkeit und somit ihre Weiterbeschaftigung zu verlieren. Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien (IKT) bieten neue Chancen, Seeleute dabei zu unterstutzen, ihre Fahigkeiten zur individuellen Gesundheitsforderung zu verbessern.
