摘要
The aim of the Study Latin American Children Safe in Traffic is to help diminish risk factors associated with children's road accidents, taking as the starting point children traveling to and from school. During the first phase investigation, an exploratory assessment was done to identify available safety and protection resources to children who attend school. For this purpose, the research department of the Gonzaio Rodriguez Foundation, together with Factum Consultancy; elaborate three case studies in Uruguay and one in Argentina. In the second phase, we worked with decision-makers to promote changes that improve road safety in school zones. The results that have been achieved so far reflect that the synergies of teamwork between non-governmental organizations and Governments have enormous potential for children's road safely improvement. © 2020 Asociacion Espanola de la Carretera.
