With the new Supply Chain Act, lawmakers want to anchor responsibility for supply chains in companies and thus better protect human and environmental rights worldwide in view of complex supply chains. Companies will be faced with a package of new responsibilities including risk management, risk analysis and due diligence such as complaints procedures, prevention and remediation - along with documentation and regular audits. Companies that cannot meet these requirements on their own can use external service offerings to fulfill their legal obligations. © 2023 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston, Germany.
