摘要
Self-propagating high temperature synthesis(SHS)technology uses the reaction system itself to maintain the heat of the reaction. It is one of the efficient and low-cost methods to prepare advanced materials with special properties. In this paper, the combustion mechanism of the self-propagating high temperature reaction is summarized, the influence of reaction parameters such as stoichiometry of the reactants, quantity of reactants, gas pressure, reactant particle size, green density and ignition method,is briefly reported. The research progress of SHS in the preparation of inorganic nonmetallic materials, intermetallic compounds, bulk alloys and other materials is reviewed. Finally, some technical bottlenecks, technological difficulties and corresponding solutions of existing SHS technology are summarized, and the technical conditions for large-scale industrial application of this technology are analyzed. © 2023 Cailiao Daobaoshe/ Materials Review.
