摘要
Principles of forming the transient response of multi-loop ultrawideband (UWB) ferrite antennas are investigated experimentally. The antennas consist of a ferrite rod of 20 cm length and one or two or three loops for signal acquisition. A specially developed technique which makes it possible to use only one matching amplifier in the receiver is proposed for estimation of the amplitudes and rise times of transient responses of antennas. The task of this research is to learn how the sensitivity and rise time of the transient response depend on the number and positions of used loops. It was found out that at the optimal placement of loops on the rod using two loops raises sensitivity by 1.5 times, and three loops increases it by 1.77 times compared to the one-loop reference antenna. In both cases mentioned above, the received signals rise time is less than the rise time of the reference antenna. © 2021 Begell House Inc.. All rights reserved.
