Phenomenology and hermeneutics in Paul Ricoeur and Mario Presas

The purpose of this article is to compare the philosophical trajectories of Paul Ricoeur and Mario Presas. It is outlined that a proper understanding of the shit from phenomenology to hermeneutics, in which we place both, implies draw attention to their initial belonging to the French existential phenomenology of the first half of the twentieth century. The term existential phenomenology and the impact it had on the conception of hermeneutics that was developed from it will be specified. To conclude, we propose a periodization of the production of Presas in connection with his reading of Ricoeur's work.
