This month in March 1997 was a two-issue month and our comment piece discusses 'the electric dream machine’ and the move towards non-fossil-fuelled automotive transport, which presents downsides for manufacturers and machine tool suppliers as the newly-emerging forms of transport require less manufactured parts.
