Devastating impacts hit India's textile and cotton industry

The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on the global economy. In South Asia in July, the market conditions within India's textile & apparel industry continued to be at the bottom of a U-shaped curve, with no significant pick up in domestic demand or international export orders (exports were reported to be down by almost 60[%] in April 2020), according to industry analysis.
