摘要：
Chronic pelvic pain is a frequent symptom for consultation. After the clinical examination carried out whenever possible and agreed, pelvic ultrasound is the first-line examination. This examination can be performed with abdominal sonography alone but with excessively limited diagnostic value. Transvaginal sonography is the most efficient technique, but it impacts the patient's intimacy, requiring the association of a knowledge of being for the benefit of the know-how, especially in painful context. Societal evolution is an awareness of invasion privacy with this examination and has justified publication of ministerial reports, and good practice guidelines from our scientific societies. Know-how to allows the optimization of know-how in mutual respect and listening. (c) 2024 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.
