摘要
Power electronic transformer (PET) has garnered extensive attention for its flexible electric energy conversion and power flow control functions. However, the failure rate of PET is relatively high due to the use of a large number of power electronic devices. In particular, there are many problems in PET open-circuit fault handling, such as various fault types, complex fault characteristics, and incomplete fault location methods, etc., which seriously affect the operating safety and power supply reliability. According to the features of topology and control strategy of PET, this paper summarized the types of internal open-circuit faults, and analyzed the fault characteristics of PET in different control modes and operating states for various open-circuit faults. Based on this, different types of fault location methods were proposed, and comprehensive simulation tests were carried out. The results show that the proposed location methods can realize fast and accurate location of PET open circuit, and can meet the application requirements of PET protection and fault-tolerant control. © 2020 Chin.
