Technologies and prospect of geological guarantee for intelligent coal mining

Intelligent coal mining is the strategic selection of the coal industry under the new round of technological change. It is the way that must get through to achieve efficient production of coal mine safety. Geological guarantee technologies can provide accurate and reliable geological data for intelligent coal mining. Moreover, it could reduce the occurrence of coal mine production disasters and accidents by effectively detecting hidden geological factors. The development process of coal geological guarantee technologies in China is systematically expatiated, from serving for resource exploration, high-yield and efficient mine construction to serving for safe and efficient production of coal mines, from basic geological exploration work, GIS mapping to hidden disaster factors detecting and exploration. Coal geological guarantee technologies in different periods has distinct characteristics. In sufficient accuracy of geological condition detection, difficulty of monitoring dynamic geological information and lacks of unified geological foundation were analyzed. An upgraded geological guarantee technology system for intelligent coal mining which mainly contains high precision integrated detection, integrated intelligent on-line monitoring and geology transparency of mining workface was put forward on the basis of the previous geological guarantee technologies research. It could realize digitization, 3D visualization and intellectualization of geological guarantee through the comprehensive accurate perception of geological information, dynamic integration, synchronous mapping and digital twin feedback during mining. Facing a new round of energy science and technology revolution and industrial change, considering the new requirements for coal mine safety under the new situation development, the development direction of geological support cloud platform and technical standard system construction were put forward. Platform-based and standardized technology system can provide reliable geological guarantee for safe, efficient and intelligent green coal mining. © 2021 Science Press. All rights reserved.
