Case Study within Medium-Sized Mechanical Engineering Company. Industry 4.0 describes a new type of production. Managers face the challenge of strategically planning this comprehensive transformation. Today's procedural models are mostly abstract and leave customization towards the company-specific situation to the user. This hinders practical application. Based on a case study within a medium-sized mechanical engineering company, this contribution exemplary derives a customized procedural model for developing a strategic program for industry 4.0. © Carl Hanser Verlag GmbH & Co.
