Larry Bentley and Andrew Dowdy, two volunteers with Engineers Without Borders USA (EWBUSA), are leading an effort to solve the problem of refrigeration for off-grid communities in developing countries. With distinguished careers, an impressive array of projects, and close to a century’s worth of combined experience in engineering and humanitarian work between them, they’re looking for some out-of-the-icebox thinking on refrigeration.
