摘要
During the installation of a cable accessory, silicone grease is usually coated at the interface between silicone rubber insulation of the cable accessory and crosslinked polyethylene in-sulation of the cable body, while the grease will be absorbed by silicone rubber, whose properties are then affected. Researches on the absorption characteristics of silicone rubber for silicone grease/silicone grease base oil-silicone oil under different factors and mechan-ical properties of silicone rubber after absorption are not widely available in the literature. In this study, the influences of particle diameters of inorganic fillers, contents of vulcanising agents, and types of silicone oils on the absorption characteristics of silicone rubber for silicone grease/silicone oil are systematically investigated. Influences of silicone grease absorption of silicone rubber on the basic mechanical parameters and static viscoelasticity of silicone rubber itself are also explored. Results indicate that particle diameters of inor-ganic fillers have negligible effects on the saturated silicone grease/silicone oil absorptivity of silicone rubber. Moreover, the saturated absorptivity of silicone rubber initially decreases and then keeps roughly unchanged as the content of vulcanising agent increases, which varies with different kinds of silicone oils (e. g. absorptivity is smaller for silicone oils with a branch chain of the trifluoropropyl or vinyl group). The absorption of silicone rubber for silicone grease will reduce the tensile strength, breaking elongation, and elasticity modulus of rubber, and promote the stress relaxation and creepage of silicone rubber. © 2020, High Voltage Engineering Editorial Department of CEPRI.
