Research purposes: In view of the fact that the existing urban rail transit system and the national railway system and technical standards can not meet the needs of the development of urban rapid rail transit, and the limitations of the expansion of technical standards for urban rail transit, this paper studies the system and technical standard of urban rapid rail transit system in Zhejiang province, also summarizes the main technical standards of the municipal exchange system from the aspects of the basic characteristics of the transport service, the requirement of the transport capacity, the distance between stations, the speed grade and the operation organization, etc., and provides reference for the design and construction of urban rapid rail transit projects in the future. Research conclusions:(1) The system and technical standard system of urban rapid rail transit in Zhejiang province can be classified into DC 120 km/h system and urban AC system. (2) The DC 120 km/h system can be developed from the urban rail transit system, which mainly includes the transportation organization mode of the large station express train, the improvement of the maximum running speed of the train and the increase of the underground line limit, the improvement of the comfort standard and the optimization of the distribution lines. (3) Based on the determination of the time target value and the deep analysis of the characteristics of passenger flow, the speed target value of the urban area exchange system can be adapted to higher speed target value and longer line length by analyzing the project investment of different speed target value, the adaptability with time target value and the adaptability with station distribution. (4) The research results can be applied to the previous research of urban rapid rail transit project. © 2020, Editorial Department of Journal of Railway Engineering Society. All right reserved.
