Previous paper reported the long-term field test of thermosyphon solar water heaters (SWHs) connected to three secondary distribution systems but the straightforward comparisons of them were difficult because of various test conditions. Therefore, this paper aimed to simulate each system and to analyze the annual performance in an objective manner. Early in this paper, two SWHs were modeled by TRNSYS and the validity of models was confirmed comparing results of the simulation and field test. After that, annual simulations were conducted and the connection unit system showed the highest energy performance. © 2020 Architectural Institute of Japan. All rights reserved.
