摘要
Internet of things (IoT) is deemed as the new age technology providing complete access to internet. Cryptography provides confidentiality, authenticity, integrity of data and prevents repudiation. Here, a framework is developed for secure data transmission from the wireless body sensor network (WBSN) in IoT environment. Sensors in the human body gather the data and direct to the cloud through a gateway. Three stages in the implementation are: Authentication, security and load balancing. Optimised elliptical curve cryptography (OECC) is employed for secure data transmission. To allow multiple users in the network, load balancing is done using krill herd load balancing (KHLB). The proposed OECC and KHLB's performance is analysed by comparing them with existing methodologies regarding the performance measures say encryption and decryption time, security level, packet loss ratio (PLR), end-to-end delay along with throughput. The proposed encryption achieves best performance contrasted to other existing techniques regarding all performance measures. © 2020 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.. All rights reserved.
