摘要
Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) and short chain tributyl citrate (TC) were used to prepare surface modified cellulose (TM) in solution system by transesterification reaction. It is found that the modification process of transesterification completely destroyed the crystal structure of cellulose and reduces the dispersion size of cellulose from 50 μm to 200~300 nm by SEM; the dispersion of cellulose in polylactic acid and the interface compatibility with polylactic acid matrix are improved. The results of thermodynamics and rheology show that the modified cellulose has a better dispersion and could effectively improve the crystallization ability of PLA. The addition of 3% TM increases the crystallinity of PLA by more than 10 times measured by DSC. © 2021, Editorial Board of Polymer Materials Science & Engineering. All right reserved.
