Since the end of the 19th century, the Capuchin Order started funding periodicals with doctrinal content as well as printing shops wherever the Order was present, as Pope Leo XIII (1878-1903) requested on several occasions. This article aims to analyze different periodicals published by the Capuchin friars in two different regions from a comparative perspective. The periodicals in question are: El Adalid Serafico from Sevilla y El Heraldo Serafico from Cartago. To conduct this study, this paper proposes to apply the communication circuit developed by Robert Darnton. Therefore, the article highlights on the people involved in the production, dissemination, and consumption of the periodicals.
