Investigation of courage and aggression levels of secondary school students according to some variables.

摘要
The purpose of the research is to examine the levels of aggression and courage in middle school students according to some variables. The study group of the research consists of high school students studying in secondary education institutions in Ak & ccedil;aabat district of Trabzon province under the Ministry of National Education in the 2019-2020 academic year, and the sample consists of 917 high school students who voluntarily participated in the study by random method. A personal information form, the Little Aggression Scale developed by Little, Jones, Brauner, Nock, and Hawley (2003) and the Sports Courage Scale developed by Konter and Johan (2012) were used as data collection tools in the study. Considering the research findings, significant results were found in the Aggression and Courage scale variables such as gender, school type, and participation in school sports competitions (p<0.05). In addition, according to the correlation analysis we conducted between the two scales, there is a very low, significant negative relationship between aggression and courage levels (r = -.039). According to the results, the Aggression Scale scores of males according to the gender variable, Vocational Technical Anatolian High School students according to the school type variable, and scores of students who dont participate in school sports competitions according to the participation in school sports competitions variable (in open -proactive, pure -relational, reactive -relational and proactive relational aggression subdimensions) was found to be higher. Courage scale according to gender variable; males (determinationassertiveness -selflessness), according to the school type variable; Vocational Technical Anatolian High School students (determination -assertiveness -selflessness) and Anatolian High School students (taking riskscompetence -mastery), students participating in school sports competitions (determination -assertivenessselflessness) and students not participating in school sports competitions (competence -mastery) scores were found to be high.
