摘要：

The article discusses the following question: why do the norwegian writers choose nynorsk as the language of their fiction books? Basing on the inter views and essays of some well-known writers, such as E. Hoem, E. Okland, C. F. Tiller etc, the auther comes to the conclusion that the main argument for using nynorsk is the following: This language has a certain creative potential that lets the writers to express their ideas better. However, nynorsk tends to be the language of fiction literature and official documents, so it is in danger to become an "elite language".
