FRAGMENTATION OF SIMIAN ADENOVIRUS TYPE-7 (SA7) DNA WITH SPECIFIC ENDONUCLEASES

摘要
The effect of restriction endonucleases Bg1II and HindIII on the genome of simian adenovirus type 7 (SA7) was studied. The Bg1II endonuclease has 5 restriction sites on SA7 DNA and produces 6 fragments with MW of 10.0 .times. 106, 5.3 .times. 106, 3.6 .times. 106, 1.8 .times. 106, 0.6 .times. 106 and 0.5 .times. 106 daltons. HindIII, having 3 restriction sites, hydrolyzes SA7 DNA into 4 fragments with MW of 7.6 .times. 106, 5.9 .times. 106, 5.2 .times. 106 and 3.1 .times. 106 daltons. The Bg1II and HindIII fragments are arranged in the SA7 genome in the following order: B.sbd.A.sbd.C.sbd.E.sbd.D.sbd.F and C.sbd.D.sbd.B.sbd.A.
