摘要
The inhibitive behaviour of acetylenic alcohols in acid media (0.1 N H2SO4 and 1 N HCI) at high temperature was studied on iron by combining electrochemical tests up to 120-degrees-C and surfaces analyses. The inhibitors tested (octynol and propynol) proved to be efficient at high temperatures. They acted primarily by electrosorption on the iron, then through the formation of a dimer (in sulphuric medium) or a short-chain polymer (in hydrochloric medium), which remained stable at high temperature. A catalytic effect of the Cl- ions on the polymerization process was postulated.
