摘要
Bacterial vaginosis in pregnancy is associated to important clinical consequences as late abortion, preterm delivery, premature or precocious rupture of the membranes and low birth weight. We focused our attention on the risk of preterm delivery. The mediators of the inflammation, produced following ascending infection established during vaginosis, are involved in the pathogenesis of the preterm delivery. Our study has involved 250 pregnant patients among the 13 and the 16 weeks of pregnancy, positive to vaginal tampon sampling for bacterial vaginosis. The purpose of the study has been to compare topic therapy with metronidazole, conventionally used for the vaginosis in pregnancy, to the therapy with tocopherol acetate. Topic therapy with metronodazole associated to an ovule of tocopherol acetate is better than the topic therapy with metronidazole alone in case of bacterial vaginosis in pregnancy. Tocopherol acetate or vitamin E has an anti-inflammatory action through inactivation of important leukocytary enzymes and reduction of the developing of mediators that increase inflammation.
