Presents an analysis of the year's activity of a center for anonymous examinations, set up at the district center for sexually-transmitted diseases control in the town of Vladivostok. Gives a list of services rendered at the center and describes its structure. A total of 3753 subjects were consulted over a year; syphilis was detected in 0.4 % of them, all of these were registered and treated for this disease. Gonorrhea was diagnosed in 2.7 % of the examinees, 93 % of these were treated; trichomoniasis was found in 1.1 %, 74.4 % of these were treated; gardnerellosis was detected in 3.1 %, 74 % of whom were treated, and chlamydiasis in 6.2 % of the examinees, all of whom were treated for the disease. The authors claim that anonymous screening is highly effective and call for search for new forms of active screening for sexually-transmitted diseases.
