摘要
:
A common assumption made about the polar (structural) surface force is that it decays exponentially. However, the direct surface force measurements between hydrophobic surfaces show that this assumption is not valid in general. A comparison between the calculated and real thresholds of coagulation for various hydrophobic colloids confirmed this fact. A power-law decay has been tested simultaneously. © 1993 Academic Press, Inc.
