摘要
Infrared spectra from the adsorption of C2H2 and C2D2 on ZnO have been obtained between 4000 and 600 cm-1. The spectra are interpreted in terms of the presence of dissociatively adsorbed surface complexes (H-C=C-)Zn2+(OH-) (species I) and non-dissociatively chemisorbed ones (species II) of the type of a substituted ethene bonded to surface zinc ions, possibly (Z)-ZnHC=CHZn. A previous ambiguity in the structural assignment of species I has been resolved.
