PARTICIPATION OF CANADIAN SCHOOLS OF LIBRARY AND INFORMATION-SCIENCE ON THE INTERNATIONAL SCENE

Canadian schools of library and information science perform an international role. The author looks at three aspects of this role: foreign students in Canadian programs; international collaborative projects undertaken by Canadian schools; and projects of individual Canadian faculty on the international scene. Because of Canada's position in international affairs, Canadians have an important opportunity for cooperative projects in the areas of libraries, archives, information services, and documentation services.
