摘要
The paper presents a slate slab with bevelled edges found in 1997 during the research of cistern 4 in the block X "B" in the Northern district of Tauric Chersonesos. Such slabs were used for sharpening scalpels and for mixing medicines. At the lower and upper side of the slab are graffiti: Gamma lambda upsilon epsilon'rho iota o[upsilon] (an owners mark), 9 vertical strokes (apparently they are numerical notations) and letters of unclear nature (E(...)/Pi P /(...)/E Pi(...)). The script of the graffito enables dating the slab to the 1st 2nd centuries A. D.
