摘要
The study aimed to analyze the trends reported in elearning research and can be considered as a state of the art with application of bibliometric techniques. In order to be able to review only publications in journals of recognized scientific prestige, it was decided to limit the search to the indexed journals in Scopus and this was limited to articles in which appeared in the title of the same, the term "elearning". The first articles on elearning reported appeared in the year 2002 and until 2016 a total of 162 references could be obtained, mainly in Social Sciences, Computing, Medicine, Engineering; Administration and Nursing. From the most cited articles, the 10 most important research trends were identified and were: the characterization of effective resources for elearning, the role of elearning in distance education, the integration of multimedia resources, the creation of new Learning experience, student perceptions and integration with social networks. From the point of view of the methods used in the investigations analyzed, they mostly use case analysis and relatively few studies explore quantitative methods for modeling.
