HYDRODENITROGENATION OF SIMPLE AROMATIC-AMINES ON MOLYBDENA CATALYSTS - NATURE OF ACTIVE-SITES

摘要
Pretreatment of Ni-promoted MoO3/Al2O3 with H2S/H2 leads to an increase in the number of coordinatively unsaturated molybdenum sites and also an increase in hydrodenitrogenation activity (HDN). Presence of H2S in the feed increases the activity for hydrogenolysis of C(sp3) - N bond and decreases the activity for hydrogenolysis of C(sp2) - N bond. The activity for hydrogenolysis of C(sp3) - N bond is attributed to protonic sites and that for the hydrogenolysis of C(sp2) - N bond to anion vacancies associated with molybdenum.
