摘要
The most useful range of conditions for the title reaction was determined, together with a procedure for regenerating the spent catalyst. The effect of pretreatment of catalyst with either a single reactant or acetic acid or pyridine was also studied. Within the useful range of temperature, the reaction seems controlled either by internal or external diffusion, with apparent activation energy of ca. 41 and ca. 20 kJ/mol, respectively. Therefore a simple power-law rate equation with apparent partial orders of 0.35 and 0.58, with respect to 2-methylfuran and H2S, respectively, proved to fit satisfactorily our kinetic data.
