ANALYSIS OF SOME PHYSICAL-PROPERTIES OF CERIUM COMPOUNDS IN ANDERSON MODEL

Using the theory of Lacroix-Lyon-Caen et al. , who calculated the magnetic susceptibility of a cerium Kondo system in the Anderson model, including the crystal field effects, the value of the exchange parameter GAMMA n(E//F) and the Kondo temperature T//K of some cerium compounds were determined from susceptibility measurements, observing that vertical GAMMA vertical n(E//F) increases when the electronic specific heat coefficient gamma decreases and that the product gamma . GAMMA n(E//F) varies only slightly. The analysis of the resistivity curves of these compounds (in particular the electrical resistivity of CePb//3) shows the validity of the calculations performed by Cornut and Coqblin with the Anderson Hamiltonian for T VM GT TH T//K.
