Management skills in managing finances for Small and Medium Business

摘要
The objective of the work was to be able to characterize the managerial skills that the Manager of an SME must manage to manage the finances of this type of company. The method was exploratory and qualitative. A documentary research was conducted using as specialized Databases Google Scholar and Scopus and allowed to analyze 26 directly related to the Management Models for SMEs, 129 references in Scopus that addressed, from different points of view the problem SMEs at international level and 23 more references related to the analysis of the situation of SMEs in Latin America. The work evidenced and allowed to compile a set of important references that allow formulating possible lines of investigation and the difficulties in extrapolating the results between different countries. The bases were analyzed to establish the necessary skills for managing the finances of SMEs. They cannot ignore the economic, social and political complexity in which they operate. For this purpose, an approach is recommended that considers: Achieve a comprehensive vision that should govern the management skills that should be established for the case of SMEs. The knowledge and management of the prevailing organizational culture. The role of leadership and its practices in SMEs. The situation of operational risk faced by SMEs for each country.
