摘要
A production inventory model for deteriorating items with time dependent demand has been developed. Production rate is considered as a decision variable i.e. volume elasticity. The unit production cost depends on the cost of raw material and the labor charge. Holding cost is taken as time dependent. Shortages are allowed with partial backlogging. Backlogging rate is taken as stochastic and follows a beta distribution of first kind. The study has been done numerically too and the optimal solution has been analyzed for sensitivity.
