ANISOTROPY IN AUTO-OSCILLATION PROPERTIES IN SPIN-WAVE INSTABILITIES IN YTTRIUM-IRON-GARNET FILMS

摘要
A crystallographic anisotropy in the frequency and threshold microwave field for low frequency oscillations is reported for parallel pump instability in (110) yttrium iron garnet films. Intense auto-oscillations are observed over a wide static field H range for microwave fields h along [110] axis, and over a narrow H range for h along [111]. However, such oscillations are absent for h applied parallel to [100]. The frequency and threshold for auto-oscillations are the smallest for h along [110].
