BLIND DYEING - THEORY IN PRACTICE

Much has been said and written in recent years regarding the subject of blind dyeing. Today it is a reality in many dyehouses throughout the world. Indeed the right-first-time approach is one that applies equally well to the dyeing industry as to any other area of manufacturing. The implementation of this technique into dyehouses is possible with the right equipment, systems and above all management commitment. This paper relates the experience of one company that has successfully operated blind dyeing for a number of years and seeks to outline the concepts, difficulties and experiences encountered en route.
