摘要
The grouping of emerging economies, proposed by Jim O'Neill, under the acronym BRIC, and subsequently transformed into BRICS -Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa- accounted for more than a methodology of economic analysis. The proposal has inspired diplomatic efforts and business initiatives. Understanding the dynamics of trade integration of the BRICS and its action in the WTO is thus crucial to analyze the potential of cooperation and conflict in the economic agenda of the group. This article aims to analyze the performance of members of the BRICS countries in the Doha Round of the WTO, which occurred through G20, highlighting the theme of agriculture.
