SAFETY MANAGEMENT FOR POWER-STATIONS

Operators of power stations work in an environment which does not make the management task ''safety'' easier. Availability and supply safety are considered by industry and the population basically as given - the expectation attitude is correspondingly high. Power station operators serve further-on frequently as prototype for a law-abiding and environment-protection-oriented production availability - and are therefore with all activities under public discussion. The decision on the organization, the kind and extent of the organizing as well as the technical measures for safety is therefore - and with regard to the primate of cost-effectiveness - complex and requires integral initial stages.
