摘要
In the field of public policies, it is evident the need to establish a new viewpoint about the Brazilian scientific technological and cultural heritage, which could be widely known if the public institutions of culture and science and technology have a more dynamic interrelation. In Brazil, there is a lack of complete comprehension of the science as a cultural act. From this cultural viewpoint, it is necessary to pay more attention to the Brazilian scientific and technological heritage, so it could be perceived as part of the cultural production. Regarding the public policies of science and technology, this paper explore the concept of strategy to guarantee the efficiency of actions related to the valuation and conservation of the Brazilian scientific technological and cultural heritage. The current state of the proposals and parameters for science, technology and culture in the public level suggests the need of prioritization and inclusion of activities linked to the conservation of this type of heritage taking into account strategic activities to better the cultural and social development in Brazil. Thus, studies, research and the work of conservation and divulgation of the Brazilian scientific and technological heritage done by the Museum of Astronomy and Science, which was founded in 1985 and is responsibility of the federal government, and the creation of the Ministry of Science and Technology in the same year. These institutions represent important contributions for the institutionalization of actions related to the preservation of the Brazilian heritage in science and technology.
