SEQUENCE STRATIGRAPHY IN THE UPPER SENONIAN SERIES FROM THE SUB-PYRENEAN ZONE (PETITES-PYRENEES AND DOMES ANNEXES, SW FRANCE)

Four depositional sequences have been identified in the late Companian to Early Paleocene of the area from the "Petites-Pyrenees" to the "Domes annexes": Ausseing, St. Marcet, Gensac, Montmaurin. They correlate with the third order eustatic cycles UZA4.4, UZA4.5, TA1.1 and TA1.2 of Haq and al's global chart. Despite the fact that tectonic interference is felt in the sequence locations, eustatic changes are the main factor of sedimentary control during the infilling of the Sub-Pyrenean basin.
