Pattern of the wood and furniture supply chain industry in Caribbean Region of Colombia

This article is a preview of the ongoing investigation of a Model Design of the Supply Chain of Wood and Furniture Industry in the Caribbean Region of Colombia, which is developed through the scholarship of young researcher and innovator Colciencias. It shows a characterization of the sector, in order to establish the current state of the structure itself and the logistics requirements of the logistics and service in the identified segments, as well as an analysis of the supply chain, so that identify the gaps in logistics (purchasing and inventory, warehousing, planning and distribution) against the best practices of world class.
