摘要：

During oral communication in research meetings, it is frequently argued by attendees that the sample of the study is not representative. In this paper, we aim at defining the concept of a representative sample. We also describe the different ways for sampling and the most common biases in sample selection. Lastly, we suggest guidelines to be addressed before providing comments on sample selection.
