FIELD-INDUCED PHASE-TRANSITION IN AN XY-TRIANGULAR ANTIFERROMAGNET RBMNBR3

摘要
Neutron diffraction measurements in an external field have revealed that an XY triangular antiferromagnet, RbMnBr3, exhibits a field-induced phase transition from an incommensurate structure to another incommensurate one at 4.2 K. In this transition a spin deviation angle from 120-degrees increases abruptly from 8.4 to 15.6-degrees. A spin-flop phase is discovered under magnetic fields.
