摘要
We present a comparative study of several descriptions of steady-state heat flow through a wall and an attached extended surface (fin). A number of well-known one-dimensional models are described in dimensionless terms and analytic solutions are derived. Comparisons are made with regard to the prediction of temperature profiles and heat transfer rates.
