Epistemic responsibility, cultural responsibility

Every culture is inherently a culture-of-culture by contracting epistemic commitments, since any form of culture is not compatible with any form of knowledge. A culture unaware of his own epistemic responsibility is an irresponsible culture. This thesis is developed around three topics (the "two cultures", cultural permeability of science, the "Hydra effect") and some minimum conditions of epistemic cultural responsibility are inferred.
