摘要
Energy efficiency of buildings is a subject launched in the early 1970s in the West, with reference to commercial buildings. This topic grew after the year 2000 when the subject became a sensitive one. The European Union has a program for reducing energy consumption and emissions of air pollutants, as it is known that more than 30-40% of the pollution and energy consumption is due to households. This program dates back to 2020, when 19% of the electricity produced must be renewable. The paper will present the evolution of electricity consumption in Romania compared to that of the European Union in total, but also by sectors of activity and the efficient and effective solution of reducing the regional consumption of electricity, respectively the encouragement of the construction of green houses.
